A Special Message from CAPPS Executive Director

A Special Message from CAPPS Executive Director

California Association of Private and Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS)

Hello CAPPS,
We hope this finds you and your team doing well as we kick off the Spring season. I’d like to extend a personal invitation to you to attend and reconnect with colleagues at next month’s CAPPS Legislative Policy Conference.
Some Great Reasons to Attend the 2022 CAPPS Legislative Policy Conference…
Have you noticed that your Institution is being fronted on all sides by increasing rules and restrictions? This is not an accident. There are organizations hard at work trying to ensure that you are no longer able to operate. Some are Government, some are private, but they all share a common goal, ending private postsecondary education in California.
What can you do? We suggest that the best way to be informed and learn what other Institutions are doing and stay ahead of the opposition, is to come to Sacramento!
On April 20 & 21, at the Downtown Sacramento Hyatt, CAPPS will hold its Annual Legislative Policy Conference. Here are just some reasons to attend:
  • Learn what the nature of the specific threats are against your school
  • Hear from peers about what they are doing to combat creeping bureaucracy
  • Pick your battles that mean the most to your Institution
  • Talk to those who are in the thick of the fight and plot your own approach
  • Get advice from CAPPS members and exhibitors on how to stay off the radar of those seeking to attack you
  • Work not to be the school that is “surprised” when you are suddenly faced with adversity
Forewarned is forearmed. Arm yourself for the attacks tomorrow by learning how to defend yourself and your Institution today. Join us in Sacramento on April 20-21, 2022!
Sincerely,
Robert W. Johnson
