About this event

The ABHES Institutional/Programmatic Accreditation Workshop will provide attendees with a better understanding of the accreditation process. Attendees will learn how to complete the Self-Evaluation Report (SER), prepare for the on-site team visit, and respond to standard violations. Additionally, presenters will review and discuss the interpretation of a variety of standards, common errors, and how to avoid them.  Presenters will also review standards related to student achievement indicators and program effectiveness.  Participants are encouraged to have in front of them, draft or previous versions of their self-evaluation reports and program effectiveness plans. This workshop is open to initial and renewal applicants as well as members of the public.

A representative from each campus/program seeking an initial or renewed grant of accreditation or inclusion of a non-main campus is required to attend an accreditation workshop within 12 months prior to submission of the Self-Evaluation Report. The individual(s) designated to attend the workshop is/are employed by the institution and directly involved in the accreditation and self-evaluation process (e.g. school director, director of education, or program director).
