Member Re-elected to DEAC Board of Directors
The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is pleased to announce the reelection of Ms. Traci Lee, President of Sonoran Desert Institute, to the DEAC Board of Directors.
During the election, held in conjunction with DEAC’s 96th Annual Business Meeting, DEAC member institutions re-elected Ms. Lee to serve a second three-year term, through March 31, 2025.
“I am personally delighted to have the honor of serving a second three-year term on the DEAC Board of Directors,” said Ms. Lee. “The board demonstrates an exceptional commitment to the accreditation of distance education institutions. I look forward to serving with each of them as well as DEAC staff in the coming year and through March 2025.”
Leah Matthews, Executive Director of the DEAC, expressed her gratitude to Ms. Lee and to all members of the board. “I am continually inspired by the dedication of our board members, who provide a great deal of valuable insight, commitment to integrity, and a level of collaboration that continues DEAC’s tradition of innovation and leadership,” she said. “I’m looking forward to what lies ahead while feeling grateful for everything the board has accomplished.”
The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1926 that operates as an accreditor of distance education institutions. DEAC’s goal is to ensure a high standard of educational quality in the distance education institutions it accredits and a quality education for the students who annually study at its accredited institutions.
