MSCHE announces listening sessions for periodic review of standards for accreditation and requirements of affiliation

Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education (MSA/CHE)

January 5, 2022
As announced during the MSCHE 2021 Annual Conference, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is undertaking a periodic review of its Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation. For an overview of the process, visit MSCHE Standards Review Webpage. Individuals are encouraged to check this page periodically as the Commission will post additional information as it becomes available throughout the project.
Since the implementation of MSCHE’s current Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation, the Commission has gathered feedback from surveys, institutional inquiries, and requests for clarification, as well as throughout the Commission’s decision-making processes. The Commission is now seeking feedback on five focus areas for consideration. These areas are:
  • the Requirements of Affiliation;
  • Verification of Compliance with Accreditation Relevant Federal Regulations;
  • Compliance with MSCHE policies and procedures;
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and
  • Data-based Decision-making.
Further information on these five focus areas is provided on the MSCHE Standards Review Webpage.
