Announcing the CHEA Fellows Program

Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)

The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is pleased to announce the CHEA Fellows Program, an important new benefit for CHEA institutional members. The CHEA Fellows Program provides senior level graduate students with experiences in higher education accreditation, policy development, recognition processes for accrediting organizations, nonprofit board oversight and operations, communications, business finance and government affairs.

Achieving institutional and program accreditation in higher education provides a university with the distinction of confirming academic quality performance to public stakeholders, families and students. University leadership, faculty and staff are keenly aware that the affirmation of accreditation indicates that the institution performs according to rigorous national and regional standards of quality.

The CHEA Fellows Program is available only to graduate students enrolled in colleges and universities that are current CHEA members. The CHEA Fellows Program is a significant benefit to CHEA members and helps to provide professional experiences for graduate students who aspire to be future leaders in higher education.
