Award Recognizes 90 Percent or Higher Retention, Credentialing and Placement Outcomes
Tucson, Ariz. (August 31, 2021 ) – Four Pima Medical Institute campuses have earned Triple Crown status for the 2019-2020 Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) reporting year.
Winning campuses and programs are Denver, Colorado Radiography, Houston, Texas Dental Hygiene, Mesa, Arizona Nursing, Radiography and Occupational Therapy Assistant, and the Tucson, Arizona Nursing program.
Programs are eligible for Triple Crown status if student retention, graduate credentialing and placement rates meet or exceed 90 percent.
The prestigious recognition and its criteria is very difficult to achieve. The award is a recognition of the entire program including all faculty, students and graduates. Especially notable is the work of the program directors.
“When you recognize that our Institutional Accreditation benchmark for retention, credentialing and placement is 70 percent, Pima Medical Institute’s outcome in these programs deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated,” said Jen Spurlin, Pima Medical Institute Corporate Director of Academic Affairs. “These accomplishments are even more impressive when you consider how the pandemic has impacted clinical site credentialing testing site availability. We could not be prouder of all the creative solutions and hard work that our faculty and staff put into getting students to graduation and graduates to work.”
This recognition is one more example of Pima Medical Institute’s commitment to its mission to improve the quality of people’s lives by providing the best value in medical career education.
