Advocacy Alert: USDE Adds Session for Upcoming Negotiated Rulemaking Committee
As part of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s (MSCHE) strategic priority to promote advocacy initiatives for members and others, we encourage our members to register to observe the United States Department of Education (USDE) Student Debt Relief Negotiated Rulemaking Committee meeting, February 22-23, 2024. This newly added session will focus on the issue of debt relief for student loan borrowers experiencing hardship. USDE will provide regulatory text for negotiators and the public to review at least a week in advance according to the Federal Register.

USDE will provide a registration link on their website, as well as instructions on how to submit a request to provide public comment. 
MSCHE President Heather F.
